About this Treatment
  • To decrease pruritis/itch. Limited reports on the efficacy in PFIC but has been reported to both improve itch (PFIC 1 and 2 patients) and improve liver biochemistry (PFIC2 patients only).

  • Has been used in PFIC to correct mis-trafficking of PFIC proteins within the liver cell.

    Protein trafficking refers to the transport of proteins to where they need to be.
