Vitamin K deficiency can cause bleeding. Abnormal prothrombin time or bleeding problems.
Prothrombin is a protein produced by your liver. It is one of several substances in your blood that work together to form blood clots. Prothrombin time is a measure to evaluate whether blood clotting works appropriately.
Vitamin K is important for blood clotting.
