About this Treatment
  • Rifampicin – increases metabolism of circulating pruritogenic (itch generating) compounds and promotes their excretion in the urine. It may also alter the composition of bacteria in the intestine (microbiome), which may affect metabolism of pruritogenic (itch-producing) substances in the gut.
