Cholecysto-Appendicostomy
A surgery that diverts bile from the small intestine. The gallbladder is attached to the appendix which causes bile to drain into the large intestine. This is done to interrupt bile from being recirculated into the liver.
Surgical procedure which diverts bile from the terminal ileum (last part of the small intestine) thus interrupting enterohepatic bile acid circulation. Gallbladder is affixed to the appendix draining into the large intestine.
